The name of the place sets the theme and the project carries it through without decoration: pale timber, living green and warm light. There are no pictures on the walls and no decorative objects — the atmosphere comes from the materials and the planting.
The room is divided into zones by furniture rather than partitions. Curved timber planters separate the banquettes from the circulation, and a fluted column marks the entrance to the main service area, working as a landmark from anywhere in the room.
The seating types were sized for different kinds of traffic: a curved banquette for groups, square tables for pairs, one long communal table and a high counter at the window for guests who stay only briefly. The same room serves a quick lunch and a long evening.
Lighting works in two layers: track spots for the general wash, and exposed-bulb pendants dropped close to the tabletops over the seating. In the evening the general layer is dimmed and only the pendants remain — the space contracts without anything physical changing.
- Pale matt timber — furniture, planters and cladding
- Fluted column in vertical timber battens
- Green upholstery in two shades
- Living planting as the principal colour
- Matt black metal — lighting tracks and pendants
